BEHIND THE LENS

Lim has always loved taking pictures of people, objects, and sceneries. His interest in photography started when films were still the norm. Lim got his first DSLR, Canon 550D, in December 2010, when he was 18. Since then, Lim has been learning photography at his own pace, and acquired many other camera lenses to feed his love for photography. With the thirst to improve his skills, Lim took up the 8-Session Basic/Intermediate/Advanced Comprehensive Photography Course by Keith Low from Pictorial in 2012, and Objectif's Studio Portraiture Photography by Alvin Tang in 2013.

 

Lim is currently an undergraduate student in the National University of Singapore (NUS) studying Psychology in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. He resides in the College of Alice and Peter Tan (CAPT) during school term, and is highly involved in community engagement. During his free time, he likes to run, and he participates in running events. His niches in photography are landscape and macro photography. Lim also does event photography for various NUS and SMU events, including concerts, symposiums, and sports events. He believes in photography as a way of keeping memories forever.
